Collabora Online Development Edition (CODE) is an online office suite based on Libreoffice, i.e. Collabora Online is the web version of our favourite desktop office suite. CODE is the development version of the suite and it is open source and well suited to the needs of relatively small communities.
One can host CODE in two ways
We are interested in the second way since CODE will be more reusable from the perspective of other services that you may have published on the Edge.
You will also need to have a file management solution, such as Nextcloud, published on the Edge.
We have thoroughly evaluated OnlyOffice and CODE. The setup of OnlyOffice turned out to be problematic. CODE worked for us and also proved to be a quite reliable collaboration tool over time.
